Rap icon Lil Wayne will embark on a solo tour

Rap icon Lil Wayne will embark on a solo tour, marking his first headlining venture in four years. The Welcome to Tha Carter Tour, presented by Young Money, Rolling Loud and Live Nation, was revealed on Tuesday. The tour will kick off on April 4 at The Fillmore in Minneapolis and span across 28 cities in North America, including stops in Chicago, Detroit, Toronto, Houston, New York, Philadelphia, Atlanta and culminate in Los Angeles at The Wiltern on May 13. Wayne’s last headlining tour was The Blink-182 and Lil Wayne Tour in 2019.
This tour announcement follows the news of Wayne being honored with the Global Impact Award, along with Dr. Dre and Missy Elliott, at The Recording Academy’s Black Music Collective event. Additionally, Wayne is in the process of creating his eagerly awaited Tha Carter VI album, which he confirmed during the Young Money Reunion concert last year.
