Lil Jon is taking legal action against promoter Live Nation

Lil Jon is considering taking legal action against global entertainment firm Live Nation over their Lovers & Friends Festival, which he believes violates his trademarked song title of the same name. On Monday, Lil Jon’s attorney Edwin McPherson sent a warning email to Live Nation, outlining the rapper’s grievances. According to the obtained documents, the letter states that in 2022, the festival was held with Lil Jon, Usher, and Ludacris as main performers and many artists linked to Lil Jon as supporting acts. Upon learning of the festival’s name, Lil Jon raised objections and asked Live Nation for information on how they obtained the name’s license. However, the company claimed they did not need a license and both parties agreed to delay the discussion until after the festival. Despite this, Lil Jon performed and the festival was a great success, selling out.
